SYMPTOMS
If you specify an OemPNPDriversPath value with more than 99 characters in your unattended installation file, only the folders that are specified in the first 99 characters are used to locate additional drivers when you use the unattended installation file with Winnt.exe.
CAUSE
The MS-DOS-based Winnt.exe installation program does not copy the entire OemPNPDriversPath value to the following registry location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DevicePath
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 3.

The maximum length for OemPNPDriversPath is 1023 characters.
NOTE: When you run the hotfix package it does not install the fix to your system. Instead it asks for a path where to extract the binary Winnt.exe. This binary should then be replace on your distribution directory or burned CD-ROM.
