SYMPTOMS
When you migrate the OLAP Repository to SQL Server, the OLAP Manager may stop responding (hang) or cause a general protection fault.
CAUSE
The list of SQL Servers in the domain is too large for OLAP Manager to handle.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in SQL Server OLAP Services 7.0 Service Pack 3. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SQL Server OLAP Services 7.0. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Run Olap Manager and connect to an OLAP Server.
- Select and then right-click a server.
- Select Migrate repository from the pop-up menu.
If there are many SQL Servers in the domain, the OLAP Manager may stop responding.
