AvantGo Software Stops Responding After Installing ActiveSync 3.1 Build 9587

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft ActiveSync version 3.1, build 9587, your AvantGo program may stop responding. The ActiveSync status window may display the following message:

Needs Attention

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the ActiveSync program overwrites your computer's current newer version of the AvantGo software with an older version. The ActiveSync program can even overwrite the necessary registry entries that point to the newer version of AvantGo.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, reinstall the newest version of the AvantGo software from the following AvantGo Web site at:
