SYMPTOMS

Under load, failfasts may occur in the Jit.cpp file when the Microsoft virtual machine (Microsoft VM) uses the IEnterActivityWithNoLock interface. In addition, the following error message may appear in the event log:

COM+ Internal Error. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error. Assertion Failure: m_punk || !m_fHaveStub Server Application ID: {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx} Server Application Name: IIS In-Process Applications The serious nature of this error has caused the process to terminate. COM+ Services Internals Information: File: .\jit.cpp, Line: 711

The run-time environment has detected an inconsistency in its internal state. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error. Error in .\jit.cpp(502), hr = 80070057: CJITActivation::CreateNextObject, CoReactivateObject failed

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
