Article ID: 275024

Article Last Modified on 10/3/2003

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q275024

BUG #: 236420 (SHILOH_BUGS)

SYMPTOMS

When a database contains several tables, the SQL Server Enterprise Manager does not list all of the tables in the Table Info tab of the Taskpad view of that database. Although a scroll bar does appear, scrolling down does not display all of the tables. However, if you enter a table name in the Search for text box that you know exists and you then click GO, that table is found.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND

The Next and Last buttons will appear if you click GO either without entering anything in the Search for text box when there are more than 22 tables in the database, or after you perform a search by using wildcards that returns more than 22 tables.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2.
