SYMPTOMS

Under extremely heavy HTTP stress testing, a Windows 2000-based server may stop responding (hang) and become unresponsive to any TCP/IP requests. When this occurs, no keyboard or mouse movement works on the console.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
