ACC2000: RDB Server Username Dropdown Control Is Disabled During Logon

SYMPTOMS

When you try to connect to a linked Oracle RDB Table from Access 2000, the Username Dropdown control in the RDB Server logon dialog box is disabled.

CAUSE

This is caused by the failure to clear both the Username and Password controls from the RDB Server logon dialog box.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first fixed in Jet 4.0 Service Pack 6 (SP6).
