SYMPTOMS

When you use Web Enrollment forms to review pending certificate requests immediately after you enroll for a new certificate, you receive the following message:

You have no pending certificate requests.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Microsoft Internet Explorer is not set to receive cookies.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow the steps in the appropriate section.

Internet Explorer 4.0 and Microsoft Windows 98

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. In the Cookies section, click one of the following options:


    • Always Accept Cookies
    • Prompt Before Accepting Cookies

Internet Explorer 5

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click Internet.
  5. Click Custom Level.
  6. In the Cookies section, click to select Enable for the following items:

    • Allow cookies that are stored on your computer
    • Allow per-session cookies (not stored)
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Yes when the following message is displayed:

    Are you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone?

  9. Repeat steps four through eight to enable cookies for the following content zones, if necessary:

    • Local intranet
    • Trusted sites
    • Restricted sites
  10. Click the Apply button if it becomes active.
  11. Click OK.
