SYMPTOMS
Domain controllers in parent and child domains in Windows 2000 may become slow and eventually restart because there is heap damage which forces an access violation in Lsass.exe.
CAUSE
This issue can occur when there is heap damage because there is an invalid pointer allocation.
RESOLUTION
