Unplugging Steinberg USB-2-MIDI During Playback Generates 'Invalid Spinlock State' Error Message

SYMPTOMS

If you unplug a Steinberg USB-2-MIDI device during MIDI playback, you may receive the following error message:

"BugCheck 0x81: Invalid spinlock state"

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using the driver supplied with the Steinberg USB-2-MIDI device.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Steinberg Media Technologies about availability of an updated driver. Visit the following Steinberg Web site:
