SYMPTOMS

When you try to start the CrashProof program from Ontrack Data International's Fix-It 2000 on a computer running Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), the following error message may appear:

CrashProof is unable to initialize the fault trapping system

The program installs without error on a clean installation of Windows Me.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the program is not compatible with Windows Me.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, contact Ontrack Data International to obtain the version that is compatible with Windows Me.
