SYMPTOMS
When you create a workflow application, you may want to use a common script file so that you can share script functions among several workflow applications. If you are using a common script file, you may receive the following error message when you add an item to the workflow-enabled folder:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, save the workflow common script file as Unicode so that it supports double-byte character set (DBCS) characters. To save a file in Unicode by using Notepad, click Save As on the File menu, and for Encoding select Unicode (the default is ANSI).
