SYMPTOMS
When you use the Office Layout template, Visio uses decimal feet instead of feet and inches.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

To temporarily work around this problem, set the units of measure for the drawing page to feet and inches. To do so, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Page Setup.
- Click the Page Properties tab.
- For Measurement Units, click Feet and Inches.
- Click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior
- Open the Office Layout template.
- Add the rectangular room shape.
Note that the walls are dimensioned in feet and inches, and not in decimal feet.
