SYMPTOMS
When you use SignCode.exe to digitally sign a file, the following error message appears:
CAUSE
You are using the version of SignCode.exe that is available from the Microsoft ActiveX Software Development Kit (SDK). The version of SignCode.exe that is distributed with the ActiveX SDK was intended for use only with version 3.02 of Internet Explorer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the correct version of SignCode.exe. Depending on your version of Internet Explorer, you can update SignCode along with the other Authenticode tools, from the following Microsoft Web sites:
