SYMPTOMS
The net send command might not work after the first message when you send messages at short intervals to a computer that is running Windows 2000. This problem is likely to occur if several clients send messages to a user at the same time.
When this problem occurs, the following error message is generated on the client that sends the message:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:

Install this hotfix on the Windows 2000-based computer that receives the messages.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
