OL2000: You Can View Private Appointments With Reviewer Permissions

SYMPTOMS

If you have reviewer permissions in Outlook 2000 to view another user's calendar, you can view the full text of the other user's private appointments. You may also observe that you can not open the appointment when you click directly on it in the calendar.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Office 2000 service pack that contains this hotfix.
