SYMPTOMS
When you install the Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 build 8503 for the CHT/ASIA version, the following files are installed as *.chs files:
- Mdac_typ.cab
- Mdac_typ.inf
- Mdac_typ.stf
RESOLUTION
Install the Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 released-to-market version.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 build 8503. This bug was corrected in the release-to-market version of Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4.
