SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install or to use the Intel Video Phone, your computer may experience the following symptoms:

  • The following error message may be displayed:

    The version of Intel Video Phone that you're attempting to install does not run on this version of Windows.

  • The system may stop responding when you use the configuration wizard.
  • When you attempt to make a videophone call, the audio feature may not work. The remote user does not hear any audio during the videophone session. If both callers are using a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition-based computer, the audio feature does not work in either direction (send and receive) for the callers.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur because Intel Video Phone version 3.x or earlier, is not designed to run on Windows Millennium Edition (Me).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you must contact Intel Corporation to upgrade their software to the latest version.
