SYMPTOMS
The Citrix Systems, Inc. Java client stops responding under Internet Explorer on Windows 2000. Once the applet starts, the browser stops responding and the CPU usage is 100 percent.
The problem is not reproducible on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0.
CAUSE
The problem seems to be arising as a result of an infinite loop while you are trying to just-in-time compile a method in the Citrix client's class.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem has been fixed in version 3302 and later of the Microsoft virtual machine.
This problem was corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
