SUMMARY
The Posting Acceptor that is installed with Microsoft Site Server 3.0 or with Site Server Express 2.0 from the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack does not work when the destination virtual directory is configured to use a UNC share mapped to a remote server. An error may be seen from the browser when files are being uploaded:

Posting Acceptor is designed to save files only to the local file system. To post files to a remote server, a different configuration needs to be used to accomplish the same result.
To configure an upload to a remote server, a combination of Posting Acceptor and Content Deployment needs to be used. For information on configuring this upload, please refer the the Online Site Server documentation at:
