SYMPTOMS
When you update Visual FoxPro 6.0 from Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4, the U.S. version of the Service Pack installs Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.5, but the German language beta version of Service Pack 4 installs MDAC 2.1.
CAUSE
The wrong version of MDAC is included in the German beta version of Visual Studio Service Pack 4.
RESOLUTION
Install the Visual Studio Service Pack 4 release-to-market version.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4, German Beta. This bug was corrected in the release-to-market version of Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4.
