Microsoft merge modules for Windows Installer packages are included in the following two products:
- Microsoft Visual Studio Installer
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downloads/vsi/default.asp. After you download and install the Visual Studio Installer, the merge modules will be located in the Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\Tools\VSInst\BuildRes folder.
- Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications SDK
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vba/default.asp. After you run the installation program for the Visual Basic for Applications SDK, having selected the merge modules that you want installed, the merge modules will be located in the Program Files\VBA6SDK\MSM and Program Files\VBA6SDK\MSM\ENU folders.
Note that not all Microsoft redistributable components have merge modules available.
