SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Management Console (MMC) on a computer running File and Print Services for NetWare (FPNW) to configure a user account with the NetWare-compatible logon option enabled, the user may not be able to log on to a server running the NetWare operating system by using the existing password. However, if you change the user's password after enabling the NetWare-compatible logon option, the user can then log on to servers running either Windows 2000 or the NetWare operating system.
