SYMPTOMS

On a domain controller that is running File and Print Services for NetWare (FPNW), the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in may quit prematurely when you are attempting to assign a specific network address in the advanced settings on the NWCompatible tab.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
