Article ID: 258247

Article Last Modified on 10/6/2005

APPLIES TO

This article was previously published under Q258247

SYMPTOMS

If you use programming code to retrieve recurring appointments, the code may not retrieve some appointments after the second time. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • If you set your time zone to Japanese Standard Time (Greenwich mean time + 9 hours

-and-

  • If you retrieve recurring appointments by using the Restrict method in your Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition code.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by an error in both the Find and Restrict methods of the Outlook Object Library.

When the IncludeRecurrences property is true, items are selected that corresponded to the condition between [Start] and [End]. Instead of the local time, Greenwich mean time is used as the time zone of [Start]. As a result, [Start] is advanced nine hours, and it is interpreted by mistake; the appointment that should be selected is not displayed.
