SYMPTOMS

The Print Spooler service may cause an access violation if you print a document with a very long job name to a print server that is configured to send print notifications.

CAUSE

Insufficient memory is being allocated for the buffer that is used to pass the print notification to the messenger service. If you use a very long job name, it can overrun the buffer and cause heap corruption, which may result in an access violation.
