SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Fax may start when you start Microsoft Windows, even though Microsoft Fax is not in the startup group.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if McAfee WebscanX initializes the Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) profile when you start Windows. Because Microsoft Fax is in the MAPI profile, it is also initialized.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, upgrade your McAffee Anti-Virus software. Contact McAffee for information about updating your software.
