SUMMARY

This article describes how to install an Internet printer in Windows 2000 Professional using Personal Web Manager (PWM). The preferred method of web server configuration is through the Internet Services Manager MMC. This article details how to view the status of the Internet Printing sections via PWM. To install an internet printer, simply install IIS and share a printer. The configuration of Internet Printing is automatic, there should be no need to create or alter these settings. In the event that Internet Printing settings get damaged or do not work, delete the printers virtual folder and reboot the machine. Windows 2000 will automatically recreate and reconfigure the web server with the correct default settings.
