SYMPTOMS
In Photo Editor, when you click Print on the File menu, you receive the following error message:
When you click Details, you see a message similar to the following:
CAUSE
This problem occurs when both of the following conditions are true:
- The name of the first printer in the printer list in the registry includes more than 48 characters.
- Photo Editor is installed on Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98.
This problem is known to occur when you are using printer shares on Novell servers, where the printer name is determined by Novell and can be very long because of the Novell naming conventions.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
