SYMPTOMS
When you try to connect to the Automatic Version Synchronization servers to update the cabinet files with the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK), you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue can occur if a proxy server or firewall is filtering data and not allowing the download to finish successfully.
RESOLUTION
Bypass the proxy while you are downloading the cabinet files from the Automatic Version Synchronization servers. To bypass the proxy:
- Right-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, and then click Properties.
- Click the Connections tab.
- Click LAN Settings.
- Click to clear the Use a proxy server check box.
- Click OK, and then click OK.
