NOTE: The address that you see (0167:3ab938d7) in the error message may be different.

CAUSE

There are two methods to resolve this problem.

NOTE: You can use the second method only if you use Outlook in the Corporate or Workgroup mode.

Method 1

  1. Click the Start button, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
  2. In the Named box, type outlook.exe, and then click Find Now.
  3. Note the path to this file. For example, the default path is:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe

  4. On the File menu, click Close.
  5. Click the Start button, and then click Run.
  6. In the Open box, type the complete path that you noted in step 3, and type quotation marks ( ") around the path. Be sure that you also include the Outlook.exe file name. Press the SPACEBAR once and then type the forward slash ( /) followed by cleanprofile.

Using the default path from step 3, an example of the information that you type in the Open box looks like the following:

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe" /cleanprofile

NOTE: Your path may be different if Outlook is not stored in the default location on your computer.
  7. When you have the formatted the path correctly, click OK.
