SYMPTOMS

If you use the Synchronization Wizard to synchronize a Web page that you have selected to make available offline by using a dial-up connection at logon or logoff or when the computer is idle, the setting reverts to a local area network (LAN) connection for its synchronization.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
