SYMPTOMS
When you try to use HTML Help 1.3 to convert a WinHelp project to an HTML Help project, you receive the error message

CAUSE
This problem occurs because the following DLL files in the application folder (where you installed HTML Help Workshop) are not being registered:
- Cnvcnt.dll
- Cnvtoc.dll
- Gencnv.dll
- Hhcout.dll
- Hhkout.dll
- Itcc.dll
- Navout.dll
- Spcom.dll
- Sprbuild.dll
- Spredit.dll
- Sprfile.dll
- Sprlog.dll
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, you can use the following procedure to register each of the .dll files:
- Open a command prompt.
- Navigate to the folder where HTML Help is installed.
- Type the following: regsvr32 <name of .dll that you want to register>
NOTE: If you are using Win9x, you must provide the full path to Regsvr32, which is in the Windows\System directory.
