SYMPTOMS
While browsing in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, you may experience periodic runtime errors that prompt you to click Debug to correct. When you click Refresh, the current page does not refresh. This occurs more often when you click to browse away from the page before the current page finishes loading.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) code behind the page contains errors, or when there is a problem with controls on the page. Additionally, a running Internet Explorer thread could cause the problem.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, do one or more of the following:
- Perform a full, forced refresh of the Web page by pressing CTRL+F5.

- Restart the computer.
- Remove any ActiveX controls, which will force them to reinstall the next time they are needed.
