SYMPTOMS
When you send SMTP mail containing a UUENCODED attachment from a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server computer to a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 computer that is receiving mail through the Internet Mail Service, the attachment method property, PR_ATTACH_METHOD, is set to a value of 5, ATTACH_EMBEDDED_MSG, instead of the expected value of 1, ATTACH_BY_VALUE.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design.
