XADM: Mail Disabled User Re-Enabled by Replication Through the ADC

Article ID: 251629

Article Last Modified on 2/26/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q251629

SYMPTOMS

A Microsoft Windows 2000 mail-disabled user is re-enabled when the user is replicated back from the Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 directory. When a full replication has occurred between Active Directory and the Exchange Server 5.5 directory over the Active Directory Connector (ADC), and then a mail-enabled user is deleted from Active Directory, editing that object from the Exchange Server 5.5 directory causes that user to be re-enabled during the next replication cycle.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
