SYMPTOMS

After you configure an Exchange 2000 server to allow anonymous access for an IMAP4 virtual server, anonymous IMAP4 logon attempts fail and you receive an error message similar to the following:

The server has rejected your login. Please verify that your name and password are correct.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
