SYMPTOMS
When you disable and then enable advanced power management (APM) on a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, the power schemes change. The changes affect the automatic standby and hibernation timeout options and can cause battery power loss.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
