SYMPTOMS

When you change the size of a picture in the Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor using either the Format Object dialog box or the object selection handles, you cannot then return the picture to its original size by clicking Reset.

This is different behavior than in Works 4.x.

CAUSE

In Works 2000, after you change the size of a picture, the new size of the picture is designated as the Original size when you return to the Format Object dialog box.

RESOLUTION

To quickly reset a picture to its original size, click the Undo button on the Standard toolbar until the picture returns to its original size.

CAUTION: When you do this, you lose any changes that you made to the document after you first resized the picture.

MORE INFORMATION

If you insert a picture in Works 2000 Database while in Form View, and then resize the picture, you can return the picture to its original size by changing the Scaling setting to 100% in the Format Picture dialog box.
