SYMPTOMS
When you try to copy a cross-platform printer driver from a Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0-based server to a client computer (for example, a Microsoft Windows 95-based client), you may receive the following error message in Event Viewer:
Event ID: 2510
Source: Server
Type: Error
Category: None
The Server service was unable to map error code 1797.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the server does not have that specific printer driver loaded. Because of this, the printer driver is unknown.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the printer driver on the client workstation from the printer driver installation disk.
