SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Applications using CreateTime and/or ModifyTime properties with LookupQueue receive the following error:
CAUSE
In Windows NT 4 Service Pack 4, a change was made to enforce the proper variable type for these fields, but appropriate changes to the variant type were not completed.
RESOLUTION
Windows NT Server or Workstation 4.0
Consistent use of VT_I4 for these properties has been implemented in the code distributed for Windows NT4 SP6. To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service pack, please go to:
