SUMMARY
Windows 2000 clients installed through Remote Installation Service (RIS) require access to a Windows 2000 installation CD or a network location that contains the contents of the Windows 2000 installation CD when installing multiple or additional language support.

If your clients intend to install multiple language support or during the RIS installation modified the Setup information file (.sif) to include a [RegionalSettings] section so that it is installed during Setup, you need to copy the I386\Lang folder and its subfolders from the Windows 2000 installation CD to the %Reminst dir%\Setup\%Language%\Images\%Foldername%\I386\Lang folder.
NOTE: If you are concerned about the increased number of files, you can removed the subfolders within the Lang folder that you do not intend to install. For example, if you are only going to install language support for Korean (KOR), you could remove all other subfolders to decrease the amount of time it takes to copy files.
When additional language support is installed using the Regional Options tool in Control Panel or during an unattended installation, files from the I386\Lang subfolder are required to complete the language support installation. Because the files are not normally used during an installation and can take up a large amount of space, they are not copied by default or installed when the CD-based image was created on the RIS server.
