SYMPTOMS
A document or envelope that you print to an Epson Stylus COLOR 700 or 800 series printer may appear as a compressed image, similar in size to a postage stamp.
RESOLUTION
Use one of the following methods to resolve this issue.
Method 1
Download and install the current printer driver and any necessary updates from the Epson Support Web site. Even if the printer was recently purchased, it is important to check the manufacturer Web site for recent updates.

Method 2
Follow these steps to turn on or turn off the Use printer metrics to lay out document option:
- Open a document that exhibits the behavior.
- On the Tools menu, click Preferences, and then click the Compatibility tab.
- In the Options box, locate the Use printer metrics to lay out document check box. If the check box is not selected, then select it. If it is already selected, clear the check box.
- Click OK.
Method 3
Follow these steps to turn on or turn off the Fit to Page option in the Print dialog box:
- Open a document that exhibits the behavior.
- On the File menu, click Print. In the Print dialog box, click the Layout button (in the upper-right corner).
NOTE: To distinguish the Layout button, rest the insertion point over the buttons until the ToolTip appears. The Layout button usually resembles a sheet of paper with blue gridlines on it.
- If the Fit to Page check box is selected, clear the check box and then click OK. If the Fit to Page check box is not selected, then select it and click OK.
