SYMPTOMS

After you create a new user policy for a Windows 2000 domain and apply it to a global group that contains users with computers running Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, a user who logs on with a computer running Windows NT 4.0 Workstation does not receive the new policy. Users belonging to the same group with computers that run Windows 2000 Professional do receive the new policy.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition.

This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 6 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 6.
