SYMPTOMS
When you run an Outlook script that enumerates a large number of Outlook items, the memory used increases with each item accessed. For example, if you have a folder with many contacts and you want to check each contact for a certain attribute using a script, you may find the script uses all available memory. The issue is not a normal memory leak, because the memory is freed correctly after the script is run.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
