SYMPTOMS

After you apply formatting to multiple paragraphs and then select a single paragraph, not all of the formatting appears in the Timeline, and you cannot time all of the formatting.

CAUSE

If you have applied formatting to several paragraphs and are only selecting a portion, you are not highlighting to select enough to actually be selecting the formatting.

MORE INFORMATION

When the HTML code is written, it surrounds the entire section of code with the tags it uses. If you apply formatting to several paragraphs at a time, a start tag is applied at the start of the first paragraph and an end tag is applied at the very end of the selection.

If you highlight to select just a portion of the text, you are not going to see the formatting in the Timeline because you have not selected both formatting tags.

If you are going to time the properties of single items, it is best to apply formatting to one paragraph at a time. By doing it this way, you can see the necessary formatting in the Timeline when you select the paragraph.
