SYMPTOMS

While you are scrolling through a document, your computer may stop responding (hang) or the following error message may appear, if the default printer is using the Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 820 printer driver version 8.0 or 8.2.

An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway, click ignore and save your work in a new file. To quit this program, click Close. You will lose information you entered since your last save.

NOTE: The Ignore option in the warning dialog box is ineffective, and you are unable to access your document.

RESOLUTION

Use an updated version of the printer driver.
