257824 OL2000: Differences Between Outlook and Outlook Express
SYMPTOMS
The preview time in Outlook Express is changed by one hour when there is a change in Daylight Saving Time.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Received Time column uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). GMT does not change with a change in Daylight Saving Time.
WORKAROUND
The original time is still available by right-clicking the message, and then clicking Properties. The time shown in the message's properties is the e-mail header time recorded by the e-mail server; it is not affected.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
