SYMPTOMS

After you choose a Typical and Minimal installation and begin downloading Internet Explorer to run Setup, you may receive any of the following error messages:

  • IE5WZD caused an exception c0010000H in module KERNEL32.DLL at memory address

  • IE5WZD caused an exception c0010000H in module MSJAVA.DLL at memory address


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if NetZip is installed on your computer. NetZip intercepts and manages download requests, and this may conflict with the Internet Explorer download process.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact NetZip to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

To work around this issue, uninstall NetZip. For information about how to do so, contact NetZip, or view the documentation included with NetZip.
