SYMPTOMS
When you try to import messages from Netscape Navigator or Netscape Communicator into Outlook Express, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue can occur for either of the following reasons:
- An address book was missing from the default folder during the importation process.
- You are using Netscape Communicator 4.51. This version of the Netscape file format used for the address book is not totally compatible with Outlook Express version 4.5.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method:
You Did Not Previously Use the Address Book
If you did not previously use the address book in Netscape Navigator version 3.x or Netscape Communicator version 4.03 or 4.05, you can safely ignore this error message.
You Did Previously Use the Address Book
If you did previously use the address book in Netscape Navigator version 3.x, verify that the address book is in the following location:
System Folder\Preferences\Netscape ƒ\AddressBook.html
If you did previously use the address book in Netscape Communicator version 4.03 or 4.05, verify that the address book is in the following location
System Folder\Preferences\Netscape Users\user name
\pab.nab
where user name
is your user name.
